BLAIR E A NOVA CORRIDA ÀS ARMAS DE DESTRUIÇÃO MACIÇA

George W Bush e Anthony Blair puseram na moda as armas de destruição maciça.
Blair achou que devia iniciar uma nova corrida ao armamento de destruição maciça, com novos submarinos com mísseis «Tridente», bem carregados de bombas atómicas.

Não faltará quem entre na corrida – Rússia, China, etc., etc…


e já agora, se a ALEMANHA também resolve entrar nesta corrida…




Blair venceu no Parlamento, apesar do desacordo de parte dos deputados trabalhistas.

Despite a massive Labour rebellion, MPs backed Tony Blair's bid to spend between £15bn and £20bn on new submarines to carry the Trident missiles.
MPs voted by 409 to 161, majority 248, in favour of the proposals.
But around 85 Labour rebels were thought to have disobeyed a three-line whip and voted against the government.»
