«Investigator: 'I will find Maddie'

AN investigator hired by Madeleine McCann’s parents vowed last night: “I’ll find her in five months.”
Francisco Marco said Maddie, four, is alive in MOROCCO and revealed he has already bought dolls to give her when she is rescued.
Marco, 35, declared: “I will take them out of the suitcase the day I find Madeleine.”
The detective’s Spanish-based agency was given the job in September. He added: “We have a six-month agreement with the McCanns. I will find her before that period is up.”
Asked how he envisaged the case ending, he said confidently: “I give Madeleine her dolls. I calm her down, I take her out of wherever she is, I call her parents and put her on the telephone to them.”
Mr Marco, head of Barcelona’s Metodo 3 agency, is “certain” parents Kate and Gerry, both doctors aged 39, had NOTHING to do with Maddie’s disappearance on May 3.
Special
The couple, from Rothley, Leics, agreed to be grilled by his experts before the agency — which is charging a nominal fee plus expenses — took on the case.
Mr Marco, head of a 40-strong team, said: “Our staff inter-viewed the McCanns for ten hours — enough time for us to tell if they were trying to fool us.
“My specialists assure me they are not hiding anything. I would not risk the prestige this agency has gained over 23 years without being convinced there is a case.”
He went on: “For me this is a special case. I have two children. They plead with me, ‘Daddy, find Madeleine’.
“My wife does not reproach me for all the time I spend on the case.”
Mr Marco is convinced that Maddie — who vanished from her family’s rented holiday apartment in Praia da Luz, Portugal — was smuggled to Morocco.
He bought the dolls at an airport while jetting out to a reported sighting there.
Mr Marco said: “Unfortunately the lead turned out to be false. But I still have those dolls.” »

« Kate McCann's anniversary plea
By Rod Chaytor and Emily Miller 03/11/2007
Kate McCann today marks the six-month anniversary of Madeleine's disappearance by reaffirming her belief that she is still alive - and issuing a heartfelt plea for her release.
Kate, 39, said: "Six months is such a long time for a little girl to be separated from her family.
"We believe that our Madeleine is out there somewhere and retain hope that we can be reunited.
"Madeleine is a beautiful little person who deserves a loving and happy life. To ensure this there is no doubt that the best place for her to be is with her family.
"We know that somebody somewhere can make this happen.
"That somebody has the ability and power to bring back us back so much joy as well as bring peace to themselves. If you have any information relating to Madeleine's disappearance or whereabouts please pass it on to 00 34 902 300 213."
Kate wants anyone who has any snippet of news to ring the phoneline which is manned 24 hours a day by investigators in Spain.
To mark the six months since Madeleine vanished from the family's holiday flat in Praia da Luz on May 3, Kate and husband Gerry have released a previously unpublished picture of their daughter.
The photo, which shows her playing a park near the family home in Rothley, Leics, was taken on Saturday April 21 - exactly one week before they went on the ill-fated holiday to Portugal and 12 days before she disappeared.
Kate and Gerry will attend a special church service today to say prayers for their missing child.
A Moroccan police chief yesterday said officers were scouring the north of the country after the most recent sighting of a Madeleine lookalike.
The Mirror told yesterday how mum Naoual Malhi saw a little blonde girl with Madeleine's distinctive eye mark being bundled into a taxi in the town of Fnidk by a Moroccan woman and driven away.
It is thought the pair were taken 180 miles to the port of Al Housimi. Police chief Said Aloua said: "We have many officers working on the case. We are doing everything we can to find this poor little girl."
Meanwhile, an unnamed source yesterday claimed results of a second analysis on hair and bodily fluids allegedly found in the McCanns' hire car proved Madeleine's body had been in the boot.
The McCanns' spokesman Clarence Mitchell added: "This is yet another unsourced, unsubstantiated article and we simply won't comment on it. Suffice to say Kate and Gerry have nothing to hide." »
